What could be more “green” than utilizing found objects from the street into works of art. I had a walking partner for fifteen years, each walking our dog one way together, one alone—across town, across a city park. My exhibition, “Reliquaries from a Walk,” made use of many of the objects I'd collect on these walks.

The process of creating these assemblages is very much like putting together colors and shapes in composing my contemporary quilt designs. Color and shapes and the positive and negative spaces they create and the illusion therof, make for a successful outcome in the end. I have now stretched these boundaries even further into my sculptural quilt piece for the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum.
