Sitting around the living room listening to the radio envisions some of those old overstuffed chairs one might find at an estate auction or a garage sale. These old classics come back to life with painted, printed, and splattered "canvases"--some actually of heavy silk instead of cotton canvas. Any piece of furniture can get a new life, the  furniture subjects I have successfully revitalized include old diner stools, Thonet chairs, ship deck sloops, and the same old tubular metal Marcel Breuer chairs that touted hard vinyl seats and which can be found in the NY MoMA collection.
